I would like to tell you how to have a perfect lunch. You’ll need a restaurant that makes no compromises to its menu in the middle of the day, and enough natural light so you can make a reservation when it’s bright and warm. You’ll find me at Fish Cheeks, drawn in by aromas of curry and herbs, robbing minutes from the workday.

You’re going to need perfect company. If you don’t have this already, I recommend developing your lunch company relationships. Ancient friends, cherished family members, adventurous strangers who intrigue you. Not everyone is good at having a perfect lunch—in my experience it involves a willingness to eat so much that you won’t need dinner.
